Terms of Use for LaneLume
1. Provider and scope
These terms apply to the use of the LaneLume app. The provider is Real Movement Analytics GmbH, Kleines Everstal 18d, 44388 Dortmund, Germany (legal notice). The terms of the store you get the app from also apply to the download and to purchases: in the App Store, Apple's Standard License Agreement (EULA), on Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service.
2. The game
LaneLume is an arcade runner: you steer a ball through a neon tunnel with four coloured lanes. You can download and play LaneLume for free, without an account. All game modes, levels and unlockable looks are available without a purchase. Only LaneLume Plus costs money (section 4).
3. Video to keep going
In a normal run, after a crash you can keep going once per run if you choose to watch an ad video. This is possible once you have been riding for at least 15 seconds in that run. It is not available in the tutorial, in Zen or in the daily challenge. The video only starts when you tap “Keep going” yourself. LaneLume shows no other ads, so no banners and no videos that start on their own.
The videos are provided by Google AdMob. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland they are only available if you confirm that you are 16 or older. The app then asks for your privacy choice when required. This choice determines whether and which ads Google delivers. A video is not always available, for example without an internet connection or when Google has none to deliver. If no video loads, you cannot keep going with it. If you close the video before the reward is unlocked, the run does not continue. What happens to your data is explained in the privacy policy.
4. LaneLume Plus
LaneLume Plus is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. With Plus, after a crash you can keep going once per run without a video, once you have been riding for at least 15 seconds. This is only available in a normal run, not in the tutorial, Zen or the daily challenge. You also get two exclusive looks: the colour theme “Moth” and the ball “Sunset”. With Plus the app does not load any ad videos.
You see the price before buying, in the app and in Apple's or Google's purchase dialog. You buy through the App Store or Google Play. Purchase, payment, withdrawal and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms (for Apple, also the Media Services Terms and Conditions). We do not receive your payment data. You request a refund from the store. For a purchase on Google Play you can also contact us: lanelume@punktdev.com. If the purchase is reversed and the store revokes your entitlement, Plus is removed at the next check with the store.
Plus is linked to your store account, not to your device. On a new device or after reinstalling, tap “Restore purchase” in the Plus window. This works with the same Apple or Google account you bought it with. Switching between iOS and Android does not transfer Plus.
5. Progress
Your progress is stored only on your device. We do not offer our own cloud backup. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, your progress is lost unless it is included in an operating system backup. You can restore LaneLume Plus through your store account (section 4).
6. Use of content
The app and website, including graphics, texts, music, sounds and software, are protected by copyright. You may use LaneLume privately within the app's features, including sharing results. Beyond that you need our prior consent, for example to copy, modify, redistribute or commercially exploit content. Uses permitted by law and rights granted under the licences of included software, fonts and other third-party components remain unaffected.
7. Development and availability
We may provide updates. The statutory rights for defects apply to LaneLume Plus. We provide updates needed to keep Plus in conformity with the contract, including security updates, for the period required by law and inform you about them. The ad videos come from Google. We cannot control whether Google delivers a video at a given time.
8. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the Product Liability Act. For slightly negligent breaches of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
9. Your statutory rights
Your statutory rights remain unaffected. The rules on digital products apply where their statutory requirements are met.
10. Changes and final provisions
Changes to these terms for existing contracts require your agreement unless the law permits a change without it. Publishing new terms alone does not change your existing contract. German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. This is a translation of the German version, which prevails in case of discrepancies.
